Who can join Breakaway Travelclub

Breakaway is a member based Travelclub for specifically for the Australian Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Industry. To be eligible you must be Australian based and employed full time or part time for more than 20 hours or more in one of the listed categories. Each category may be eligible for a different variety of products.

What do I get with my membership

How do I make a booking

Bookings can now be made online with live availability for most of our airfares, hotels, car hire, tours and transfers or via a Booking Form and Faxing/Posting it back to us, or by completing an online Booking Request over our website at any time of the day or night. Each booking must be accompanied with a current letter from your employer, verifying your position in the Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Industry. Full payment is required at the time of booking.

Why do I need to submit an employment verification letter

All our discounted fares are a benefit of your employment in our industry. Both Breakaway and our suppliers require verification of your employment to ensure that you are an industry employee and that you acknowledge the strict terms and conditions associated with our fares and rates.

Why do some industry rates have to be booked within a set time frame?

Often, our suppliers will dispose of their last minute availability through us, which means that you end up with the benefits and savings! However, a majority of airlines do not allow us to book your seats until about 14 to 30 days prior to your requested departure date, this is mainly because they want to be confident that the seats won't be otherwise sold at the standard price.

Why do I need to pay in advance

Because we often deal with last minute bookings and availability, our booking procedures are very labour intensive. As a result of this we require a commitment from you to ensure your requests receive the attention they deserve.

Can I change or refund my tickets

This will vary between airlines and suppliers, but most changes will attract a service fee. Many tickets are non-changeable and almost every cancellation will be subject to a cancellation fee sometimes up to 100%. So be certain of your booking request before you make it.

Can my family use Breakaway

This varies from airline to airline, but in general your family members ARE entitled to some benefits from Breakaway
